My Dear Mr Markham,
Very reluctantly I return you the poem which I asked you for and which you kindly sent me. The multitude of which I am paid editor is owned by a Mr. Vrooman and he is making it so sensational and in my opinion, silly, that I will not let my name go into it, nor can I ask my friends to contribute to it. I am greatly disappointed and disgusted.
Yours sincerely,
W.D.P. Bliss
