Dear Mr. Markham,
I know that Ferdinand Earle wants you to go out to his place at Monroe as soon as you can go, as soon as you care to go.
I simply cannot very well go until Saturday noon – by the train (Erie Railroad) leaving Chambers Street at one o’clock. It is a two hours run to Monroe.
Mr. and Mrs. Stokes and Spargo are coming too. I am not sure just when they are coming.
With affectionate greeting,
Leonard D. Abbott
