My Dear Mr. Markham:
I have just found in an old book a letter which I wrote to thank you for your kind word to me as to “Spring time and Harvest.” I must write again. I am very grateful for your sympathy. The book is now called “King Midas” – my original name for it, and will be announced by Funk and Wagnalls next week. You see I won my battle.
