My Dear Mr. Markham:
I have been hoping all along that you would drop in on us. We have been thinking of you as future “Colonists.” I personally know a little about your family through Mary Wilshire; and I am sure that if you once got into touch with this thing, you would find that you belonged here. I thought of it today again – you the reason that we are now packed to the doors. We are fixing up one suite of two rooms which will be ready in a week or two and will quite certainly be taken by that time; and that will be the last chance to get into Helicon Hall until we have a new building ready. Verbum sap!
Sincerely Upton Sinclair
